PACS seeks a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist with resident care and treatment plans. You will implement therapy interventions, document progress, and maintain a safe, compliant treatment environment.

Collaborate with nurses and therapists, educate residents and families on exercises, and assist with mobility aids. California PTA licensure and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• PTA degree from an accredited program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• California PTA licensure and ongoing CE requirements.

Responsabilités

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer rules.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and comply with California rehab regulations.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides and staff.
• Communicate with supervising PT for updates to physicians and care teams.
• Provide in-services on training programs when needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, home programs, safety, and fall prevention.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering durable medical equipment to aid mobility.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
• Report equipment issues to keep department in good order.
• Contribute to QA and rehabilitation program development.
• Interact positively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
