Vaco by Highspring seeks a seasoned Full-Charge Bookkeeper to independently manage day-to-day accounting for a growing, owner-led business in Secaucus, NJ. This temp-to-perm role demands hands-on expertise and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

You will handle AP/AR/GL, payroll, reconciliations, month-end close, and reporting, with strong QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Excel skills. This onsite position suits someone comfortable in a lean small-business environment and able to work

Qualifications

10+ years of hands‑on bookkeeping/accounting experience.
Strong QuickBooks Desktop and Online experience required
Full‑charge experience across AP, AR, GL, payroll, sales tax, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently in a lean, small‑business environment.
Accounting degree strongly preferred.
Must be comfortable working fully onsite in Secaucus, NJ.

Responsibilities

Manage AP, AR, GL, cash receipts, vendor payments, and bank/credit-card reconciliations.
Process biweekly QuickBooks payroll and monthly sales-tax filings.
Handle month-end close, journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting.
Review POS sales, cash-outs, deposits, and discrepancies.
Support POs, inventory, receiving, ACH/wires, and vendor payments.
