Latitude Legal Recruitment Limited is partnering with a privately held online security company to hire a Corporate Counsel for its in-house legal team in Downtown Austin, TX. The role centers on commercial contracting and related data privacy, compliance, and regulatory matters in a fast-moving security business.

The successful candidate will bring 3+ years of commercial contracting experience, a strong business sense, and the ability to advise leadership on risk.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial contracting experience.
• Experience with technology, software licensing, SaaS or channel partner agreements.
• Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, or data protection.
• Ability to use AI tools to work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts for teams across the company, including product, business development and channel partners, IT, security, compliance, marketing, and finance.
• Advise leadership on legal risks, contract status, and the business terms of deals.
• Build and improve scalable processes for supporting, negotiating, approving, and executing commercial contracts as the company grows.
• Partner with security and product teams on contract terms covering data protection, privacy, and security.
