Corporate Counsel — Commercial Transactions (Onsite, Full Time, Permanent)

Latitude Legal is partnering with a privately held online security company to hire a Corporate Counsel for its in-house legal team. The company is growing and poised for its next stage, and this is a chance to help build the legal function as it scales. The role suits an attorney at a law firm who wants to move into a collaborative, business-facing in-house team. The work centers on commercial contracting across the company, along with legal, compliance, and regulatory matters in a fast-moving security business.

Responsibilities Of The Corporate Counsel Role

• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts for teams across the company, including product, business development and channel partners, IT, security, compliance, marketing, and finance.


• Advise leadership on legal risks, contract status, and the business terms of deals.

Basic Requirements Of The Corporate Counsel Position

• 3+ years of commercial contracting experience. Law firm attorneys who want to move in-house are encouraged to apply, as are attorneys already in-house at a technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity company.


• Experience with technology, software licensing, SaaS, vendor, or channel partner agreements.


• Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, or data protection matters is a plus.


• Comfort using AI tools to work efficiently.


• Strong judgment and business sense, and the ability to give clear, practical advice to non-lawyer stakeholders.


• Able to handle a high volume of work and shift priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment.

• Compensation: Competitive base salary plus bonus and equity

Compensation

The base salary range is $180,000–$190,000, with full benefits. This is a company in growth mode, and the people who join now will be well-positioned for advancement, increased responsibility, and long-term upside as the legal team and the business scale together.
