• 3+ years of commercial contracting experience, ideally in-house at a technology, SaaS, or financial services company.
• Experience with technology, licensing, vendor, and channel partner agreements.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance matters in financial services or fintech is a plus.
• Strong judgment and business sense, and the ability to give clear, practical advice to non-lawyer stakeholders.
• Able to manage a high volume of work and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Corporate Counsel — Commercial Transactions (Hybrid Full Time Permanent)

Latitude Legal is partnering with a publicly traded financial technology company to find a Corporate Counsel for its legal team. This attorney will help manage legal, compliance, and regulatory matters in a complex, fast-moving business, with a focus on commercial contracting across the company.

Responsibilities Of The Corporate Counsel Role

• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts for business functions across the company, including product, business development (channels), IT, security, compliance, marketing, and accounting and finance.
• Advise management on contract status, legal risks, and the business terms of transactions.
• Enforce and improve processes for the support, negotiation, approval, and execution of non-customer commercial contracts.
• Support customer contract operations as needed, including escalations and negotiations during high-volume periods.
• Strong knowledge of AI tools

Compensation

The base salary range is $175,000–$185,000, with full benefits. This is a company in growth mode, and the people who join now will be well-positioned for advancement, increased responsibility, and long-term upside as the legal team and the business scale together.
