Job summary

Best Buy is seeking an In-Home Installation Technician to deliver, install, integrate and troubleshoot smart home, audio-visual and networking products in customers’ homes. You will help customers choose solutions that fit their lifestyle and work with Geek Squad Agents and partners to meet company goals.

Key duties include leading two-person jobs, managing inventory, and handling paperwork while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have current, valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform job effectively within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift weight up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift weight up to 250 pounds as part of a team with the support tools such as harnesses or lifts
• 6 months of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience
• 6 months of customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling on lifestyle recommendations regarding products and services
• Provide a variety of fulfillment duties including delivery, installation, integration, networking and troubleshooting consumer electronics devices
• Take the lead on two-person jobs and perform other work alone
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, process paperwork and payment, provide feedback and training opportunities, and follow safety guidelines
