Job summary

Best Buy is seeking an In-Home Installation Technician to deliver, install, integrate and troubleshoot consumer tech in customers’ homes, including home theater, computing, smart home and networking. You’ll tailor solutions to each lifestyle and work with Geek Squad Agents and other teams to meet annual goals.

You’ll advise on products, perform delivery and installation tasks, lead two-person jobs when needed, manage inventory and paperwork, and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6 months of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience
• 6 months of customer service experience
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have current, valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required to perform job effectively within 90 days of hire
• Ability to lift weight up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds as part of a team with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift weight up to 250 pounds as part of a team with the support tools such as harnesses or lifts

Responsibilities

• Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling on lifestyle recommendations regarding products and services
• Provide a variety of fulfillment duties including delivery, installation, integration, networking and troubleshooting consumer electronics devices
• Take the lead on two-person jobs and perform other work alone
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, process paperwork and payment, provide feedback and training opportunities, and follow safety guidelines
