Home Health Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home residential services to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. You will work one-on-one in clients' homes to help them achieve goals in the least restrictive setting.

Responsibilities include budgeting, daily living tasks, social engagement, health and safety, and ongoing reporting. You will participate in trainings, supervision, and coordinate with families, physicians, and care

Competenze

• Understanding of medical terminology and ability to work with families, physicians, therapists and pharmacists.
• Demonstrates organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs.
• Provided trainings include: First Aid, CPR, Medication Management, ID Waiver related topics, Emergency Preparedness, Person-Centered Training, Serious Incident Training.
• Knowledge of regulatory agencies DMAS and DBHDS.

• Assist individuals with budgeting and money management.
• Guide individuals with hygienic and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social activities.
• Support ADL/IADL completion.
• Support community access.
• Ensure health and safety.
• Complete daily progress notes.
• Complete quarterly progress reports.
• Follow ISPs and goals.
• Attend in-service trainings and supervision sessions.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Facilitate conflict resolution.
• Attend physician appointments and related assessments.
