Job summary

Home Health Services of Virginia seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home, one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will help with ADLs/IADLs, budgeting, and community access while supporting individuals to achieve their goals in the least restrictive setting.

Responsibilities include daily progress notes, quarterly reports, ISP progress, and attending trainings and supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma minimum or equivalent.
• One year experience caring for individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Reliable computer for documentation completion.
• Current negative two part PPD test.
• CPR/First Aid.
• Medicaid Waiver Competency.
• Eligible Criminal Background Check and Central Registry Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home residential services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Support budgeting and money management for individuals.
• Assist with hygienic and household tasks and ADL/IADL completion.
• Engage individuals in social activities and community access.
• Maintain health and safety and complete daily progress notes.
• Prepare quarterly progress reports and follow ISPs.
• Attend supervision sessions and in-service trainings.
