Home Health Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes one-on-one support in the client’s home to help achieve ISP goals in the least restrictive setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, and reliability for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma at minimum or equivalent coursework.
• Some PCA/CNA caregiving experience.
• One year experience caring for individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• A valid driver's license.
• Current and valid auto insurance.
• Reliable computer for documentation completion.
• Current negative two part PPD test.
• CPR/First Aid.
• Medicaid Waiver Competency.
• Eligible Criminal Background Check.
• Eligible Central Registry Check.

Responsabilités

• Provide in-home residential service to individuals with ID or DD.
• Support budgeting and money management for individuals.
• Assist with hygienic and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social activities.
• Support ADL/IADL completion.
• Help access community activities.
• Maintain health and safety of the individual.
• Complete daily progress notes describing daily progress.
• Complete quarterly progress reports.
• Follow ISPs and goals.
• Attend in-service trainings and workshops.
• Attend biweekly supervision sessions.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Facilitate conflict resolution as needed.
• Attend physician appointments, SIS assessments, and annuals related to goals.
