Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment for communication and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families, and the care team to improve safety, independence, and quality of life through personalized care.

Qualifikationen

• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, complete another training and competency program before providing services.
• Must be able to pass the competency program of the care center.

Aufgaben

• Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assists patient with bed mobility, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepares and provides meals or assists with meals.
• Performs light homemaking and other environmental services.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status.
• Follows care center policies for infection control and safety.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as directed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
