Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Amedisys division is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders in adults in Jacksonville, FL. You’ll partner with patients, families and an interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence and quality of life through personalized care.

Licensed CCC-SLP, CPR and driving eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with graduate coursework and practicum accredited by CAA.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for evaluating and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation and AAC support for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or with language impairments.
• Collaborates with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence and quality of life.
