Job summary

Optum, in partnership with Amedisys, seeks a Speech Pathologist to conduct skilled in-home evaluations and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice and swallowing disorders. You will collaborate with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence and quality of life in a home setting.

Your responsibilities include preventing and treating disorders in adults, providing AAC for severe language needs, and supporting overall care goals.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the assigned state.
• CCC-SLP certification with accredited program and practicum.
• Current CPR certification.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation and AAC systems for individuals with hearing or language needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
