Qualifikationen

• Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology (ASHA).
• Minimum six months experience as a speech therapist/Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Current and unrestricted license.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate and provide speech-language pathology services in the home or facility.
• Participate in Plan of Treatment and Plan of Care development and review.
• Assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing.
• Administer and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic applications.
• Observe, record and report changes in patient condition to supervisor/physician.
• Provide instruction on alternative communication systems when appropriate.
• Counsel and instruct patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Prepare and submit written reports and care plans as required.
• Participate in care coordination and discharge planning.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper information sharing.
