Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Solar and Storage Sales Representative in Wheeling, IL to drive residential solar and battery storage sales.

You will conduct on-site assessments, deliver customized proposals, and guide customers through the renewable energy purchasing process across the region. This role focuses on growing our residential solar and storage solutions with a strong emphasis on customer education and closing deals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in residential solar sales, energy storage, or renewable energy solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of solar PV systems, battery storage technologies (e.g., Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, Generac PWRcell), and industry trends.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and site assessments.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Proficient with CRM platforms and sales proposal tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Studies, or related field (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client appointments.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify, and close new residential solar and battery storage sales.
• Educate homeowners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar and energy storage systems.
• Conduct site evaluations and gather technical data for proposal generation.
• Prepare and present professional, tailored proposals to potential customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and permitting teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sale to installation.
• Maintain CRM records, track leads, and report progress to management.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
