Job summary

The Periscope Group is seeking an independent Physical or Occupational Therapist to perform one-time in-home medical necessity assessments in Palmdale, CA. You will evaluate environments, recommend equipment and services, and document findings through our secure online portal.

As an independent contractor, you set your own schedule and travel to member homes. Licensure is required; malpractice insurance is recommended.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance (may be purchased at the time of job offer).
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed.
• Reliable transportation and travel to member homes.
• Proficient with technology and online portals, using devices for all tasks.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in an individual’s home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care that empower members to maintain independence.
• Complete straightforward documentation through our secure, user-friendly online portal accessible from any device.
