Job summary

The Periscope Group is seeking qualified Physical or Occupational Therapists for independent contractor work conducting one-time, in-home medical necessity assessments across the United States. You’ll evaluate needs, recommend equipment and services, and complete documentation securely from any device.

Ideal candidates hold current OT/PT licensure, have liability insurance, can travel to member homes, and are comfortable with technology. Flexible schedules and ongoing education are offered.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist; PTAs or COTAs not eligible.
• Malpractice/Liability Insurance may be purchased at time of offer.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, perform assessments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to member homes.
• Proficient with technology to use online portals and upload documents on any device.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in a member's home.
• Provide expert recommendations for equipment, service, and care to empower independence.
• Complete documentation through our secure online portal.
