Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for in-home patient care. You will perform 28 visits per week under the direction of a Physical Therapist, delivering in-home services with a focus on comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through active and passive exercises, recording responses, and educating families on rehabilitation participation. Licensure, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver’s license are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted PTA license to practice in the relevant state.
• Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel.
• One (1) year of professional experience as a PTA in home health or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home patient visits based on the care plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and any changes to the supervising provider.
• Educate patient and family on participation and contribution to rehabilitation.
