Job summary

A UnitedHealth Group–affiliated opportunity for a Physical Therapist Assistant is available to provide skilled home health care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence in the home setting, focusing on safety and quality of life.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy per care plan, documenting progress, and collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program (CAPTE-accredited).
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assignment state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintains documentation of supervisory activities and patient progress in medical records.
• Participates in care conferences, training, and quality improvement activities.
• Makes recommendations for follow-up care and coordinates referrals with the admitting agency.
