Job summary

MaineTouch is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors. No experience required; full training and ongoing supervision are provided. Earn $17.00–$20.00 per hour with opportunities for pay increases based on performance and certifications.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with flexible day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Mileage reimbursement available where applicable, and a supportive office team guides you through every

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• Active PSS certification in Maine, or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Access to a working cell phone and reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene).
• Support mobility and transfers with or without mobility aids.
• Help with light household tasks related to care (laundry, dishes, linens).
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, groceries and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes in condition or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Follow client service plan and complete documentation on time.
• Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines and HIPAA policies.
