Job summary

MaineTouch is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home, non-medical support to adults and seniors in Maine. Training is provided; no prior experience required, with supervision and ongoing support.

Typical shifts include day, evening, weekend, and overnight options, with full-time or part-time positions available. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, with pay increases as you gain experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and have strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow client plans.
• Trusted to maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and basic hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers as needed.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, serving, and grocery trips as outlined in the care plan.
• Provide companionship and help with daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe changes and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
