Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical care to adults and seniors, promoting safety, independence, and daily living abilities.

You will work independently in clients' homes, receiving ongoing training and supervision. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules with day/evening/weekend shifts are available, plus opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• No experience required - training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently and provide non-medical care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and basic hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without aids.
• Help with light household tasks and meal preparation as per care plan.
• Provide companionship and engage in client daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe changes and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines and protect client confidentiality.
