Job summary
Powerback Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide in-home outpatient therapy to the elderly across Vernon CT and nearby facilities. The role includes evaluating, treating, and coordinating care in patients' homes or living facilities, with a strong emphasis on functional independence and safety.
The position offers a $5,000 bonus, a mentorship program for new grads, continuing education credits, and visa sponsorship opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
- Initial registration with NBCOT.
- State OT license to practice.
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient occupational therapy services in the patient's home or in an ALF/ILF setting.
- Supervise OT assistants and students as per licensure rules.
- Maintain timely clinical and billing documentation and attend meetings.
- Develop and implement PT/OT plans of care and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with rehabilitation team and physicians to select best treatment regimens.
- Ensure safety, order supplies, and maintain equipment.
