Job summary

First Senior Home Health Tampa is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will assist in evaluations, plan development, and periodic re-evaluations, and prepare progress notes reviewed by the OT within 48 hours.

Responsibilities include instructing patients and families in exercises, documenting outcomes, and coordinating with the care team to support discharge planning and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate from ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
• Eligible for NBCOT certification as OTA.
• Must be licensed/registered in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT services in patients' homes under supervision.
• Assist in evaluation and development of the rehabilitative plan of care.
• Prepare clinical and daily progress notes; submit within 48 hours.
• Instruct patient and family in exercises and self-care to improve independence.
• Record patient progress and communicate changes to OT and physician.
• Educate Home Health Aides and family members on therapy phases.
• Attend team meetings and participate in discharge planning.
