Qualifications

Graduated from an ACOTE-accredited OTA program.
Eligible to take or has completed NBCOT entry-level exam.
Must be licensed or registered in Florida.
Criminal background check required.
Current CPR certification required (online cert not accepted).

Responsibilities

Provide skilled occupational therapy service under OT supervision, in patients' homes.
Under OT direction, deliver delegated patient care and assist in rehabilitation planning.
Assist in evaluation and periodic re-evaluation of the rehabilitation plan of care.
Prepare clinical and daily progress notes, submitted within 48 hours; prepare periodic summary reports.
Instruct patients and families in exercises and self-care activities to improve independence.
Document observations in clinical records and report changes to OT and physician.
Participate in discharge activities and complete Occupational Therapy Discharge Summary.
