Bridge Home Health in Palm Springs, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our clinical team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a Registered OT, implement care plans, document progress, and ensure adherence to care standards and service agreements.

Responsibilities include evaluating functional status, teaching activities of daily living, maintaining records, coordinating with the care team, and participating in inservices and case conferences.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an OTA curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Certified with the National Certification Examination of the AOTA (NBCOT).
• Licensed as an occupational therapy assistant by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
• Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with automobile in good working order.

Aufgaben

• Participates in the ongoing evaluation of patient’s functional status as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
• Participates in teaching new skills or retraining patients in daily activities as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
• Maintains appropriate clinical records and reports changes to the registered occupational therapist.
• Submits clinical documentation in accordance with Organization policy.
• Follows treatment program and documents patient response and progress toward goals.
• Maintains contact with other personnel involved in the patient’s care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
• Attends in-services, case conferences, and other required meetings.
• Identifies patient/family needs for other home care services and assists with referrals as appropriate.
• Instructs family/caregiver and other Organization health care personnel in the treatment regime as delegated by the OT.
• Is supervised by the registered occupational therapist no less than every thirty days.
• Adheres to attendance and reliability guidelines to ensure quality patient care.
