Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver in-home outpatient rehabilitation for older adults, in patients' homes or independent living settings. You'll design and implement therapy plans, supervise support staff, and ensure high-quality care with flexible scheduling across various settings.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with the rehab team, physicians, and caregivers to optimize functional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OT program accredited by ACOTE.
• Initial registration with NBCOT required.
• Valid OT license as required in state of practice.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OT assistants, temporary licensees, students and support staff as allowed by state licensure.
• Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules and complete clinical and billing documentation.
• Attend patient care and staffing conferences and related meetings.
• Refer to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team and physicians to select appropriate therapy plans.
• Adapt plans of care to patient needs and ensure safe home environments.
• Order supplies and maintain equipment; ensure equipment safety and repairs.
• Document and report patient progress and outcomes; progress plans as needed.
