Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a licensed veterinarian to provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and compassionate euthanasia services across the service area. The role emphasizes autonomy, meaningful family interactions, and practicing medicine with intention outside a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• DVM, Veterinary Medical Doctor (DVM) or equivalent required.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided or eligible.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments and work in a mobile veterinary care environment outside a traditional clinic.
• Perform physical exams, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services within regulatory scope.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions, end-of-life options, euthanasia process, and aftercare considerations.
