Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking licensed veterinarians to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services across the Pennsylvania service area. You will work in a mobile care setting, offering compassionate end-of-life veterinary care to families in their homes with flexibility in scheduling.

The role emphasizes autonomy, professional judgment, and empathetic communication while maintaining high clinical standards and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• DVM with active license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between home visits.
• Ability to lift and assist with animals and equipment in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled in-home appointments in a mobile care environment.
• Perform examinations, assessments, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each encounter.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians as needed.
