Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Round Rock, Cedar Park & Leander, Texas. If you seek a career outside the traditional clinic, with autonomy and meaningful relationships, this role offers compassionate end-of-life veterinary care in the home.

As part of the Heartstrings team, you will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian in-home setting.
• Strong communication and empathy for families during end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Travel to scheduled appointments within your service area.
• Perform exams, assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia per regulations.
• Document medical records accurately and timely.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and care options with empathy.
