Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare seeks an Associate Veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, hospice and palliative care. You will work independently in the field with strong leadership support and a collaborative medical team, enabling meaningful medicine in a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active veterinary license in the state of practice.
• Availability to work some weekends on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free-aligned manner.
• Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings medical leadership and support teams.
• Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.
