Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families in Caraopolis and Bridgeville, PA. This role offers autonomy, compassionate care, and the ability to practice end-of-life veterinary medicine in homes, not clinics.

You will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia with a focus on empathy, family guidance, and clinical judgment. Flexible scheduling and doctor-led leadership accompany private, autonomous practice.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, BVMS, or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to travel between appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services within your assigned service area.
• Travel between appointments in a mobile veterinary care setting outside a traditional hospital.
• Perform physical exams, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related procedures as allowed.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each encounter.
• Collaborate with Heartstrings team and referring veterinarians.
