Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Hold or be eligible for an active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided.
• Must be able to travel to patients' homes and work in a mobile veterinary setting.
• Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism during sensitive end-of-life conversations.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting with up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain and symptom management, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled in-home appointments in a mobile care environment.
• Perform examinations, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life care options with empathy.
