Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Wexford, Cranberry & Sewickley - Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in state(s) where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services.
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care setting.
• Perform examinations, administer medications, sedation, and euthanasia as appropriate.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and care options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with the veterinary team.
• Ensure safety and professionalism while handling companion animals.
