Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in the Charlotte, Huntersville, Mt. Holly, and Pineville areas of North Carolina. This role offers professional autonomy outside the traditional clinic, focusing on compassionate end-of-life care in the home.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent with active license in the applicable state.
• Ability to travel to client homes and work independently in a mobile setting.
• Strong empathy and communication for end-of-life care discussions.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel to scheduled appointments and work in a mobile veterinary environment.
• Perform physical examinations, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and related services.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each encounter.
• Communicate professionally with families, team, and referring veterinarians.
• Handle and move companion animals safely during visits.
• Maintain professionalism and clinical independence in the field.
