Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Charlotte, Huntersville, Mt. Holly, or Pineville—North Carolina.

This doctor-led, privately held practice emphasizes autonomy, meaningful client relationships, and compassionate end-of-life care in the comfort of home. There is no waiting room, no corporate dashboard; just you and a family caring for a beloved pet.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; assist with up to 100 lbs where applicable.
• Background and motor vehicle checks completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain management, and compassionate euthanasia.
• Travel to scheduled in-home appointments and operate in a mobile care setting.
• Perform physical exams, assessments, and medical procedures within regulatory scope.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each encounter.
• Communicate professionally with families and the veterinary team.
