Heartstrings Pet Hospice offers veterinarians an in-home hospice and euthanasia role serving Louisville, KY and surrounding areas. Work outside traditional clinics with autonomy to manage care and conversations with families, in a privately held, doctor-led practice.

The position emphasizes compassionate end-of-life care, quality-of-life support, and strong clinical judgment while maintaining work-life balance and no non-compete agreements.

Formación

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) of practice or eligibility.
• Valid U.S. driver''s license for travel between in-home appointments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services.
• Travel to scheduled appointments and operate in a mobile veterinary setting.
• Perform examinations, assessments, medications, sedation, euthanasia, and documentation.
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options with empathy.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with Heartstrings team and referring vets.
• Ensure professional interactions with families and veterinary partners.
