Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Cincinnati, Fairfield, Ohio, Florence, and Covington, Kentucky. This role emphasizes compassionate in-home care, autonomy, and meaningful family connections in end-of-life veterinary services.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited program or equivalent
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services provided
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to travel between appointments
• Ability to work independently as a mobile veterinarian
• Background and motor vehicle record checks required

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and euthanasia services
• Travel independently to scheduled appointments in a mobile care environment
• Perform examinations, clinical assessments, sedation, euthanasia, and related veterinary services
• Educate families on quality-of-life decisions and end-of-life options
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with Heartstrings team
• Maintain professionalism and sound medical judgment in field settings
