Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Franklin, Muskego, Wisconsin and surrounding areas. If you seek autonomy and meaningful relationships, this role offers a chance to practice end-of-life veterinary care at home.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited program.
• Hold or be eligible for a valid veterinary license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel between appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, pain management, and compassionate euthanasia services.
• Independently travel to scheduled appointments and work in a mobile veterinary care environment.
• Perform physical exams, clinical assessments, medication administration, sedation, euthanasia, and related services within regulatory guidelines.
• Educate families on end-of-life options and aftercare considerations with empathy and clarity.
• Maintain accurate veterinary medical records and documentation for each patient encounter.
• Collaborate professionally with the Heartstrings medical and support teams.
