Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide intermittent direct or indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports patient plans of care and helps maintain a safe, clean environment at the Kraft Center location.

Expect one year of relevant experience and completion of NJ state-approved HHA training and certification. A valid driver’s license and ability to manage time in a changing care setting are essential for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Completion of the State approved Home Health Aide Training course and certification.
• One year of current experience in a skilled nursing facility, home health agency, or proven proficiency.
• Ability to work with patients of varying needs including chronic/terminal illness.
• Must read, write and understand English; valid driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermittent direct or indirect hands-on patient care as per the plan of care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Coordinate with nurses, Rehab staff and other team members to meet patient needs.
• Adapt to changing patient care environments and respond quickly to emergencies.
