Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to provide in-home, strength-based support to youth and families. The role emphasizes building skills, coordination with providers, and keeping youths safely at home.

Responsibilities include family sessions, assessments, and collaboration with courts. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s preferred; experience with at-risk youth and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 4 to 6 families.
• Hold individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of youth to determine needs.
• Attend 3 weekly meetings for professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Drive up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities.
• Collaborate with other providers, case workers, and courts to formulate a collaborative treatment plan.
• Provide on-call crisis support to the youth and family.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in an EMR system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
