Youth Villages is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist to provide intensive, in-home support for families with youth ages birth to 18. The role emphasizes strength-based, solution-focused approaches and collaboration with courts and providers in the family’s home and community.

Eligible candidates typically hold a Bachelor’s in a social services discipline, with optional Master’s degree; travel is required and documentation must be done in an EMR system.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline (required)
• Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families (preferred)
• Clinical experience (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families
• Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week
• Conducts ongoing assessment of youth to determine needs
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development and boosters
• Drives up to 60–80 miles to meet families
• Collaborates with providers, case workers, and courts to plan treatment
• Provides on-call crisis support
• Documents accurately in the EMR
• Performs other duties as assigned
