Job summary

Home Health Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home residential care for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will support budgeting, daily living tasks, and community access while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

The role involves documenting progress, following ISPs, and attending trainings. In-person work with a flexible schedule, including full-time or part-time positions, is available in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate organizational and problem solving skills.

• Understand medical terminology and work with families, physicians, therapists, and pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home residential service to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Assist with budgeting and money management.
• Guide individuals with hygiene and household tasks.
• Engage individuals in social activities.
• Support community access and health/safety.
• Document daily progress notes and quarterly reports.
• Follow individualized service plans (ISPs).
• Attend trainings and supervision sessions.
• Maintain client confidentiality and resolve conflicts.
• Attend physician appointments and assessments.
