Job summary

Pottery Barn is seeking a Design Studio Specialist to inspire customers and close sales at the cash wrap. You will conduct in‑store consultations and, when needed, in‑home sessions to design living spaces that reflect client preferences.

You will stay current on promotions, guide customers through complex orders across sales channels, and deliver world‑class service with product expertise, from gift services to registry and special orders.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, clienteling, and customer follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate complex large orders across sales channels.
• Experience with design elements is a plus.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a retail setting.
• 1–2 years of customer service and retail sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in one‑on‑one consultations in the store and in‑home to drive store sales.
• Perform productive in‑home consultations including accurate space measurements.
• Create and present design plans based on client needs, style, and space.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions to achieve and exceed sales goals.
• Assist customers with gift wrap, registry, catalog/internet orders, and special orders while delivering world-class service.
• Demonstrate product knowledge of the full design studio assortment.
