Job summary

MaineTouch is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide in-home support and personal care services to adults and seniors. CNAs assist clients in their homes with daily care needs, promoting comfort, safety, and independence.

This position offers one-on-one care with flexible scheduling and a supportive care team. Opportunities for advancement and mileage reimbursement are available, along with ongoing clinical and supervisory support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Maine (required)
• Must not appear on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily care tasks
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Access to a working cell phone
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and hygiene
• Providing mobility assistance, including transfers, ambulation, and safe use of assistive devices
• Measuring and documenting vital signs and basic health observations as directed
• Supporting daily care tasks, such as light housekeeping related to care, laundry, bed linen changes, and meal preparation
• Assisting with meal service and feeding when needed
• Offering companionship and emotional support while encouraging client independence
• Monitoring clients for changes in condition and reporting concerns promptly to nursing or supervisory staff
• Identifying and reporting safety risks or environmental concerns
• Performing only tasks within the CNA scope of practice and listed in the care plan
• Completing required documentation accurately and on schedule
• Following infection control, safety procedures, and universal precautions
• Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
• Responding appropriately to emergency situations and reporting incidents immediately
• Treating all clients with respect, dignity, and professionalism
• Maintaining dependable attendance and adhering to assigned schedules
• Complying with MaineTouch policies and procedures and participating in required training

Education
