Job summary

MaineTouch is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide in-home support and personal care services to adults and seniors. CNAs support clients in their homes by assisting with daily care needs while promoting comfort, safety, and independence.

This role is well-suited for CNAs who value one-on-one care, enjoy working independently, and want flexible scheduling with support from a responsive care team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Maine CNA license (required).
• Must not appear on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily care tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Access to a working cell phone.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene).
• Providing mobility assistance (transfers, ambulation, assistive devices).
• Measuring and documenting vital signs and basic health observations.
• Supporting daily care tasks (light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Assisting with meal service and feeding when needed.
• Offering companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.
• Monitoring for changes in condition and reporting concerns promptly.
• Identifying safety risks or environmental concerns and addressing them.
• Completing documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Following infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
