Job summary

Vibrant LLC in Ames, Iowa is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver to support clients who want to stay independent at home. You will assist with daily living tasks, transportation, meal prep, and social engagement in a home setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate companionship, memory activities, and coaching to help clients improve daily functioning. A flexible schedule and meaningful impact are offered, with a requirement for a valid driver’s license and being 18 or older.

Vibrant is searching for a compassionate caregiver who understands the importance of meeting our client's needs and allowing them to Be Home...Be Well...and Be Happy!! This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):

• Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
• Meal preparation & cooking
• Grocery shopping for or with the client
• Transportation & errands
• Personal cares and bathing
• Companionship
• Visit places in the community/socialize
• Engage in activities (games, memory books)
• Assist with goals such as, but not limited to social and behavior functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, safe boundaries, etc. by Coaching, discussing, roleplaying, teaching etc.
