Job summary

Vibrant LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver to provide in-home care for clients, including the elderly or those with intellectual or physical disabilities, within their own homes. Responsibilities vary by client needs and include daily living tasks, companionship, and community engagement.

Successful candidates will meet basic requirements, drive to client locations, and help clients maintain independence with coaching, goal support, and safe boundaries.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have car insurance
• Ability to work in clients' homes and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping, laundry, meal prep and cooking
• Grocery shopping for or with the client
• Transportation, errands, and companionship
• Assist with personal cares and bathing and support social activities
• Document daily care notes and report changes to the office

This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):

• Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
• Meal preparation & cooking
• Grocery shopping for or with the client
• Transportation & errands
• Personal cares and bathing
• Companionship
• Visit places in the community/socialize
• Engage in activities (games, memory books)
• Assist with goals such as, but not limited to social and behavior functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, safe boundaries, etc. by Coaching, discussing, roleplaying, teaching etc.
