Job summary

VNA Health Group's Visiting Physician Services (VPS) offers a physician assistant opportunity delivering in-home primary care to older, homebound patients in New Jersey. As part of the Parker Advanced Care Institute, you will collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners and other clinicians to assess needs, plan care, and ensure safe, effective treatment in the home.

Qualifications

• Completion of Physician Assistant accredited program.
• Licensure as a Physician Assistant in NJ with prescriptive authority; maintain a CDS and DEA.
• National certification as a PA with AAPA.
• Experience providing care to Adult or Geriatric patients.
• 2+ years of Physician Assistant experience and/or significant experience as a registered nurse.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses and develops appropriate plan of care to treat homebound patients.
• Monitors the patient's condition and responsiveness to the treatment provided.

• Participates in organizational wide QAPI program and attends agency sponsored in-service programs.
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies.
• Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.
