Job summary

Action Health Staffing & Home Care Services seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide in-home care in the Williamston area. Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 9:00 AM–12:30 PM and Tue/Thu 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, with excellent pay.

The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist with hygiene, transfers, basic nursing tasks, meals, and companionship, while upholding privacy and the Plan of Care.

Qualifications

• Maintain DFS certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective reading, writing and following directions are essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervising clinicians.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to the client.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Participate as a team member to ensure high quality care.
• Maintain complete and accurate records required by the agency.
• Record and report changes in client’s condition.
• Complete tasks in EVV app or EVV timesheet as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems.
• Assist in promoting independence within client abilities.
• Perform other duties per care plan.
• Always follow the Plan of Care and never administer medications.
